A modern-retro art facility
Kitakyushu City Former 130 Bank Gallery
The Kitakyushu City Former 130 Bank Gallery was constructed in 1915 by Kingo Tatsuno, who also designed several other famous Japanese works of architecture, including the Tokyo Station Building and the Bank of Japan head office. The building features a modern design with its red brick walls and geometric patterns covering the entranceway, columns, and window frames. The building is now used as a place to host art exhibits and concerts, and functions as a center for promoting art.
